Nubiola Ultramarine blue and violet pigments are sodium aluminum sulfosilicate complexes calcined at high, controlled temperatures, then micronized to specific shades and tinting strengths. They possess excellent heat stability and lightfastness and do not affect mold shrinkage or warpage. These pigments are considered non-toxic and are approved by the FDA for use in food contact materials. They are suitable for coloring most thermoplastic resins.

Synthetic iron oxides are highly used pigments in all types of applications due to their chemical and physical characteristics:

  • Insoluble in water and organic solvents
  • Completely inert in organic and inorganic binders (cement, ceramic compounds, etc.)
  • Excellent light and weather fastness
  • Good alkali resistance
  • Excellent hiding strength
  • Low cost

Chrome Yellows and Molybdate Oranges have long been the basis for pigment application in the paints and plastics industries due to their pigmentary characteristics, such as colour clarity, tinting strength, excellent light and weather fastness, and their outstanding quality-price ratio.

The new coating techniques of these pigments, giving greater heat and weather fastness and easy dispersion, make them adequate for use with most current polymers with the most demanding requirements.
