Thermo Optic Anhydrous Kaolin Clays, Flash Calcined - OPTIWHITE, OPTIWHITE P, & MX are specifically designed to produce opacity and act as flattening agents. Proven especially useful in extending TiO₂ in paints. Also used in paper coatings, rubber and plastic, mainly due to high hiding and contribution to tint strength.

Anhydrous Kaolin Clays - ICEBERG and ICECAP K are both produced in multi-hearth calciners. ICECAP K is useful in the elastomeric industry in both extruded and molded products. ICEBERG is the work horse in paint, paperboard, and rubber and plastics, when the finer mesh screen residue of ICECAP K is not required. BURGESS No. 30 and BURGESS 30-P are designed especially for electrical grade PVC wire and cable compounds, 30-P has a lower specific gravity and a lighter color than BURGESS No.30. Both are commercially acceptable in a wide range of low voltage PVC applications.

Surface Treated Anhydrous Clays - BURGESS KE, 5178, and 2211. These surface treated calcined clays are based on ICECAP K. They enhance key properties such as: long term wet electricals in the case of BURGESS KE in EPDM or HDPE, improving impact strength in mineral filled nylon with BURGESS 2211; and meeting the hydrophobic requirements in mining cable with BURGESS 5178. Other treated clays are also available.
